KHONSA, Jun 28: Pursuing the objective of eliminating coronavirus from Tirap through vaccination, the District Administration and health team in a record breaking health camp-cum-vaccination session today inoculated 325 beneficiaries in the Longo Administrative Circle.
Organised by the Kapu PHC team, the sessions were held in two locations. Blind people and those who could not reach the vaccination centres were vaccinated at their home by the medical team led by Dr. Mibom Apum. While the vaccination sessions were being carried out, the administrative team led by CO Longo Ripi Doni made a house-to-house visit for one-to-one counselling to discourage vaccine apathy. With these, 3 villages under Longo Administrative Circle namely Longo, New Tupi and Old Tupi have attained 100% vaccination for 18+ and above. 
Meanwhile,  in yet another one-of-its-kind effort, the Covid vaccination team of Lazu Circle led by EAC Lazu D.K Thungdok and others trekked more than 6 and half hours  to cover  two non-motorable villages viz – Thungjang and Nogna located along the border with Myanmar and vaccinated 197 beneficiaries.
