ITANAGAR, Jun 9: Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday saw two more casualties that took the Covid death count to 128.
At DCHC Ziro a 41-yr old male Covid patient from Lower Subansiri district who was suffering from multiple comorbidities and was vaccinated with both the doses expired today due to ARDS and Covid pneumonia.  A 37-yr old female Covid patient from Lohit district suffering from various comorbidities died today at DCH Pasighat due to the same reasons as above. She was not administered with any of the doses of vaccine. Active Covid cases in the state is now 3271.
A total of 247 new cases (asymptomatic 117; symptomatic 130) were recorded with 48 from Changlang, 44 from the ICR, 20  from East Kameng and 18 from LDV the top four districts. Among the 279 recoveries, ICR, Changlang, Siang, East Siang, Papum Pare, Lower Subansiri and LDV  were the first seven  with 62, 32, 29,24,20 19 and 17  respectively. After these recoveries, the state’s discharge tally is now 26848. 5866 samples were collected from across the state on the day.
In terms of vaccination progress, a total of 3195 beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group took their first dose on Wednesday. For the 45+ age category, it was 2618 for dose 1 and 17 for dose 2.
Occupancy status at the CCCs as on June 9 - 47 at DCH Chimpu, 28 at SQF Lekhi, 1 at DCHC Midpu, 9 at DCH Pasighat and 33 at DCHC.
