ITANAGAR, Jun 8: Although there was a single Covid-related death in the state that took the casualty toll to 126, Arunachal's overall Covid situation remained in the positive zone with recoveries outnumbering new cases for several days in a row.
The lone Covid patient who expired at DCH Chimpu on Monday evening was a 27-yr old female from the ICR, suffering from Pulmonary TB. HER vaccination status was nil and the immediate cause of death was ARDS coupled with Covid pneumonia.
A total of 304 new Covid cases were recorded with Changlang accounting for the bulk with 51. ICR, West Kameng, East Siang and East Kameng had 39, 33, 24 and 23 new cases respectively. Of the total, asymptomatic cases were 182 and symptomatic 122. Active cases in the state on Tuesday evening stood at 3305.
Of the 438 new recoveries, thehe top six districts were -ICR 105, Tawang 66, LDV 46, Lower Subansiri 37, Namsai 37 and West Kameng 34. The discharge total now stands at 26569. 7221 samples were collected from across the state on the day with maximum from the ICR (903).
Occupancy status at the CCCs as of June 8 was- 48 at DCH Chimpu, 25 at SQF Lekhi, 4 at DCHC Midpu, 8 at DCH Pasighat and 39 at DCHC.
