ITANAGAR, May 4: Although Covid situation in the ICR showed a little improvement with daily addition of new cases dropping from Monday’s 88 to 65, Arunachal’s overall Covid situation on Tuesday remained grim with addition of 234 new cases, taking the state’s active Covid tally to 1632.
Besides the ICR, LDV continued to remain the district of concern with 26 more cases added, followed by Anjaw with 23, Lower Subansiri with 19, Papum Pare 18 and East Siang 14 the prominent contributors. However, it’s perhaps for the first time in the ongoing troubled phase that recoveries have seen a marked jump from Monday’s 90 to 138 on the day with the ICR and LDV accounting for 39 and 38 of the total respectively. With these recoveries, the state’s total recovery/discharge tally has reached 17501. Stress on sample collection remained with 3827 collected on Tuesday with 810 from the ICR, 552 from Changlang and 480 from Papum Pare the major districts of collection.
Currently there are 48 Covid patients at DCH Chimpu, 42 at SQF Lekhi, 10 at DCHC Midpu, 3 at DCH Pasighat and 7 at DCHC.
