SEPPA, Jul 19:  Deputy Commissioner  East  Kameng, Pravimal Abhishek Polumatla participated in the COVID-19 awareness campaign organized by  Watte Area Youth Organization in collaboration with District administration and Department of IPR, East Kameng at Watte area today.
DC along with DDSE Kata Rangmo also distributed essential items including masks and sanitizers to the villagers.
Speaking on occasion, DC appreciated the villagers, GBs and WAYO for conducting the awareness programme.He also urged the villagers to maintain cleanliness and hygienic environment to avoid infections. “We should maintain social distancing, regularly wash hands, use sanitizers’, wear mask, and avoid spitting in the surrounding,' he advised.President WAYO, Kampu Sono Rebe informed that awareness programme will be organized in 14 villages under Watte area, starting from today at  Koto Village. Beside awareness program, we are also distributing essential items to the villagers. These villages are remote areas of East Kameng so they need proper awareness and the campaign will be last for one week in 14 villages, he said.
