Court unseals PWD office after settlement of petition

ITANAGAR, Feb 17: The office of the Chief Engineer PWD-Western Zone was unsealed today following the Court's order.

“I have received an order copy from the Court to unseal the entire attached property of Chief Engineer PWD-Western Zone , as the department has released the pending bill with interests as per the directives of the court to the contractor," informed Deputy Commissioner ICR, Talo Potom.

The Court Order stated ‘ The entire decreed amount, for which this execution petition was filed, has been paid by the EE PWD, Sagalee Division and photocopy of cheque No.0020532 dated 14.02.2022 address to the petitioner has been placed in the case record. As such, petitioner did not want to proceed further with this execution petition. In view of the submission of the petitioner, the execution petition is closed as not pressed.'

Earlier, on February 10 last, the Court had directed the DC-ICR to seal all the properties of the CE-PWD (Western Zone) related to the Money Execution No.04/19 M/S Tama Fabrication Works- Vrs-State of Arunachal Pradesh.

The petition was filed by the petitioner through its counsel J Doji for payment of an arbitral award of Rs 3,60,28,997 and interest thereof on 21 October 2019.
