ITANAGAR, Oct 20: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has strongly condemned and opposed the order issued by the state government to deduct one day’s salary of the employees that too of few departments and demanded its immediate withdrawal.
In a Governing Body Council (GBC) held today under Chairmanship of its President, Pate Marik to review the first phase and discuss the future course of action of the on-going movement, the meeting termed the move as an injustice against employees fighting for their rights.
It also condemned the statement given by CM in a public meeting at Jamiri, West Kameng district, threatening to impose “President Rule” to suppress the voice of employees.
Justifying its demands, Marik said that the present demands of the state govt. employees are within the purview of CCS (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 and recalled that the CM itself has admitted it as very genuine on many occasions.
“And since the state is not facing any constitutional/law & order break down, thus threatening to impose Article 356 from the Executive head of state is uncalled for,” Marik observed. “If the State Govt. further fails to redress the grievances we will resume pen & tools down stir as announced earlier on October 25-26 and the proposed third phase of democratic movement,” Marik affirmed.
On the protest day, the employees will be attending their respective offices and discharge their normal duties but will sport black badges as a sign of protest.
