ITANAGAR, Aug 30: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has appreciated the state government for releasing the Dearness Allowance for state government employees and Dearness Relief for state government pensioners despite facing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The confederation further appealed to the government to consider other pending genuine demands with special reference to house rent allowance (HRA) as per 7th CPC rates etc. ‘The Chief Minister on many occasions has assured to consider the employees genuine grievances in a phased manner. The rate of private house rents in the capital city and district headquarters does not have control mechanisms from the government authorities and as such, the rates charged by building owners are too exorbitant beyond the affordability of government employees especially those low paid staff. If HRA is considered, it would be a great relief for the employees who are facing the brunt of exorbitant rates of house rents,’ it said.
CoSAAP further appealed to the government employees to reciprocate the good gesture of the state government by improving work culture in delivering public services.
