Itanagar, Nov 21: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) on behalf of the state government employees and parents/students has requested the state government and the State Election Commission to exempt the teachers who are engaged in teaching Classes X & XII from the ensuing PR and Municipal election duties.
The apex employees’ organization of the state has made the request through a letter to the Chief Secretary, a copy of which was also forwarded to the Commissioner, State Election Commission. The Association has reasoned that if these teachers are engaged in election duties, progress of academic curriculum of Classes X & XII which commenced from November 16 last after a long gap due to COVID pandemic will be badly hampered which will consequently result in poor performance of students in the CBSE 2021 examination.
