Tawang, Apr 9: General Officer Commanding, 4 Corps, Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla, called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd.), at Bumla Cottage in Tawang on Wednesday. They held wide-ranging discussions on the welfare and morale of troops, operational preparedness, and the importance of seamless coordination with the civil administration.
Governor emphasised on continuing the strong and time-tested bond between the armed forces and the local communities in Arunachal Pradesh. He encouraged continued synergy between the Army and civil authorities and assured that any support required by the Indian Army from the civil administration would be readily extended.
The Governor also highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts under the Vibrant Village Programme, particularly in strengthening infrastructure and improving the quality of life in remote border areas.
Gajraj Corps Commander, who assumed command on 1st April 2026, reaffirmed his commitment to fostering goodwill and deepening engagement with the local population, while maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness under his command.
