Itanagar, Mar 27: As a mark of solidarity with state government’s efforts to prevent the dreaded Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has decided to contribute one day’s salary towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
The association conveyed its decision through a letter addressed to the state’s Chief Secretary, mentioning that due to lack of fund & equipment, lives of thousands of employees engaged in prevention and treatment of the deadly virus are at stake and due to the nationwide lockdown, state’s revenue generation has also come to a standstill.
It has requested the CS to pass an immediate order to deduct one day’s salary of every state government employee from the March, 2020 salary excluding those listed for rendering 24x7 essential Covid-19 duties and the same may be deposited to the CMRF. ES Newsdesk
