Pasighat, Feb 27: Irked over the delay in release of pending bills by the government, contractors sealed the Pasighat Outdoor Stadium on Sunday.
Project Manager, M/S Kakum Enterprise  JT Hannan informed that though the authority has released other bills related to the construction of the  stadium but payment for additional work like retaining wall, parking place, RCC walkway, RCC drains amounting to Rupees 5 crore is still pending. 
The main work has been completed and handed over to the authority in 2019, but bill related to the additional work is still pending, he added. He also informed that intimation regarding the sealing of the stadium has been also shared with Deputy Commissioner East Siang.
While appealing to release the pending dues, Sub Contractor Bengia Takar informed that they are facing huge financial burdens due to the non-release of payment by the authority. We have borrowed money from others, but the government is not releasing the fund due to which the interest on the borrowed money is increasing leaving us helpless.
