ROING, Aug 2: The first district level review meeting on PMGSY roads of Lower Dibang Valley district was held today here at the DC’s Conference Hall, chaired by Deputy Commissioner K. N. Damo.
Departmental engineers of Rural Works Division, Roing, PMGSY contractors, EAC (Development) Olak Apang, DPO Marto Dirchi, ZPC Obang Ngupok and Zilla Parishad Members attended the meeting. While reiterating that timely completion of all ongoing PMGSY roads without any compromise in quality is vital, the DC directed the executing agency to identify the issues causing slowness of ongoing projects through consultation with all stakeholders. The contractors were asked to work dedicatedly for timely completion of the projects. Executive Engineer/DPIU, Roing Mukling Tayeng while giving a detailed presentation on the ongoing and completed PMGSY roads in the district informed that out of four projects under PMGSY-I, one has been completed and two out of four under PMGSY-II have been completed.
Reminding the contractors that the deadline for completion of all roads both under PMGSY-I and II is March 31, 2022, the EE directed them to expedite works. DIPRO
