ITANAGAR, Nov 6: A delegation of the All Arunachal Contractors’ Welfare Association (AACWA) led by its President Nabam Akin Hina today met the MLA-cum-Adviser to the Chief Minister-PWD Western Zone Purpa Tsering and discussed a host of issues concerning the contractors’ community of the state.
This was informed by the AACWA through its press release issued today. The meeting discussed various long-pending issues like adoption of 2.5% Bank Guarantee (BG) or Performance Guarantee(PG) for tribal contractors, enhancement of tender limits of Class-V to Class-III categories under PWD, controlling of hidden expenditures in tender awarding and related bills in form of commission, modification of the Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Professionals (Incentives, Development And Promotional) Act and the disagreements regarding its recent amendment.
According to the release, Tsering has assured the AACWA to convey their demands to the Chief Minister and convince him to fulfil them for the larger interest of the local contractors.
