ITANAGAR, Jun 26: The All Arunachal Contractors’ Welfare Association (AACWA) has urged the state government to rationalize the system of transfer and posting of all Heads of Departments (HoDs) in various government departments who have overstayed beyond the laid out tenures.
In a press release issued today, AACWA said it had submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Chief Minister on June 11 last. The association may be compelled to submit specific complaints against officers who have already crossed their tenures of posting in a particular post, if the state government fails to respond to the demand. It has also appealed to such officers to voluntarily initiate transfer and posting at new places.
Meanwhile, the AACWA has urged the PWD to maintain transparency while evaluating the tender process of the 2-lane Itanagar-Jote road, contending that genuine contractors need to be chosen to avoid loss of the state exchequer.
