Aalo, Jul 21: The District Surveillance Officer (DSO), West Siang Dr Jombom Kato and his team continued the ongoing contact tracing drive on Tuesday braving inclement weather which covered the ITBP Quarantine Centre and other Quarantine Facility Centres here in the township.
Altogether 46 samples were collected, out of which one turned out to be positive. The patient was immediately shifted to the Covid Care Centre at Aalo. True Net Machine was installed and the DSO tested himself first in the machine as a trial run. With this addition, the current tally of Covid positive cases in the district is three, one from the ITBP Quarantine Centre and the other two from the paid Facility Quarantine Centre. Meanwhile, lockdowns are being carried out in different villages in the district and Village Community Dere and schools are being used as home quarantine facilities as many of the huts are running out of space to accommodate returnees.
