ITANAGAR, Dec 18: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee President, Takam Sanjoy on Tuesday criticized the BJP government for deliberately failing to create new posts of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Superintendent of Police (SPs) including LDCs/UDCs etc after the creation of five new districts in the state.
Sanjoy said that while the state government introduced the Arunachal Pradesh Re-Organization of Districts (Amendment) Bill and approved the creation of five new districts so far, it has failed to depute officials, administrators and staffers to run these newly created districts efficiently.
In this connection, Sanjoy asked the state government to fill 60 per cent of vacant posts before the ensuing election, depute required officials and make all public services accessible to the common masses of the respective districts.
He also demanded the government to release pending payments of various government-owned projects that have been completed and underway, approved under State Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF).
According to Sanjoy, pending payments liability under SIDF that needs to be cleared within this 2017-18 fiscal year alone has gone up to 1500 crores from 450 crores.
Accusing the Government of being insensitive towards those executing the development projects, Sanjoy asked the state government to facilitate the process of releasing due payments at the earliest.
He also accused the BJP government of allegedly favouring its own workers when awarding tender works.
Further ridiculing the state government’s "Arunachal Rising" campaign, Sanjoy said  “there is no logic behind such campaign as everybody knows that Arunachal is the land of rising sun.”
“Please stop it, the BJP act has gone beyond its limit,” Sanjoy said taking a jibe at the BJP.
Meanwhile, Sanjoy informed that as a part of its Sangharsh Sammelan campaign, a rigorous one-day training on social media awareness for DCC presidents, Congress youth wing presidents etc will begin from Wednesday and will be taught by IT experts from New Delhi.
