ITANAGAR, Jan 24: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today questioned the BJP led central and state governments for being mute spectators on the abduction of a 17-year-old Arunachalee youth from Upper Siang district.
Addressing the media, Spokesperson APCC Zirgi Kadu sais "If the incident would have occurred in other parts of India, then it would have become a national talk, but surprisingly BJP led central government is neglecting Arunachal. As per media reports, the Chinese PLA has confirmed about the boy, and the Indian government should ensure his safe return before Republic Day," said Kadu while informing that the family members are still looking for the safe return of their son.
“We may be against the BJP in terms of policy or as a party, but we believe that they will take action soon so that the family members get relief. Similarly, we have full trust in our Indian Army to secure the safe release of the youth," he said.
Further, APCC also urged the central and state governments to take strong measures to protect the territories of India especially the border areas.
