SAGALEE, Nov 29: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee organized ‘Padyatra’ as a part of its nationwide campaign 'Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ against inflation of essential commodities under BJP led central government here on Monday.
The Padratra (foot march) that started from the residence of former Chief Minister and incumbent MLA of Sagalee constituency Nabam Tuki culminated at Rach-Tabio village. Hundreds of Congress workers and its office bearers participated in the foot march being organized by the Block Congress Committee, Sagalee.
Addressing the gathering, Tuki stated that the Padyatra is part of a nationwide campaign of Congress party to create awareness amongst the common public about the unparallel inflation of every commodities under BJP led central Government.
“The voice of the public should be heard by the ruling government; we will raise our voice both inside and outside parliament for the sake of common people," said Tuki while adding that the common public is frustrated especially the youth.
BJP government has made only false promises like hike in GDP, creating crores of jobs for youths, free LPG, but in reality, there is no mechanism in the government. Crores of youths are unemployed, GDP is down, prices of commodities are skyrocketing, said the former CM.
"BJP is selling properties made by the Congress government instead of preserving and utilizing them to generate jobs and boost the economy of the country." He further suggested the BJP led State government to focus more on the issues of the common people instead of offering lip service.
