ITANAGAR, Jan 13: Governor Brig. (Dr) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today chaired a virtual conference of all the stakeholders of Sainik School, East Siang from the Raj Bhavan.
Education Minister Er. Taba Tedir, GOC 56 Inf Division, Likabali Major General Ajay Kumar Vig, Secretary Education Niharika Rai, East Siang Deputy Commissioner Dr Kinny Singh, SP Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Chief Engineer, PWD (Central Zone-B) Er. Markar Bam, Director, Elementary Education Tapi Gao, Principal, Sainik School Lt. Col. Rajesh Singh and Executive Engineer, Education Department Er. Gyamar Karo participated in the videoconference. While emphasising that the cadets must be provided with the best education, the Governor stressed on ensuring all the necessary amenities and infrastructure to them. He also suggested to the Education Minister and the DC to help the Principal for the school’s overall development. The Governor while calling for concerted efforts from all stakeholders said the Sainik School must be made a model one in the entire Northeast.
Besides advising the participants to ensure timely and early availability of funds for infrastructural development of the school, he also suggested an on-the-spot visit of the Education Minister and his team, the GOC who is the chairman of LBA (Local Body Audit) committee and the District Administration to have a first-hand information of the progress of infrastructural works.
Issues related to academic session, financial allocations, monitoring aspects and teacher requirements were also taken up during the virtual conference. PRO Raj Bhavan
