Yingkiong, Aug 4: In the wake of apprehension of law and order problem and communal disharmony arising in the  disputed Eko Dumbing( Riwotala)  area between the Simong and Memba - Khamba communities, a meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Upper Siang, Shashvat Saurabh today.
Meeting was attended by the SP, Upper Siang, ADC Tuting, SDO Yingkiong and other officials beside representatives of Chime Yangsang PemaKod Welfare Society, Tuting [CYPWS], Himong Youth Association, Eko Dumbing Forest Development Society, Adi Bane Kebang[ABK], Memba Welfare Society, Khamba Welfare Society and Idu-Mishmi Welfare Society.
After detailed deliberations, both the parties in general arrived at a consensus that the 4-points resolution decided in the meeting held at the CM level in January earlier this year shall be implemented.
It was also agreed in the meeting that both Simong and Memba-Khamba communities shall maintain peace, tranquillity and communal harmony in Upper Siang District.
