ITANAGAR, Sep 27: State Level Sanctioning Committee meeting on Prime Minister Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Dharmendra, at the Civil Secretariat today.
The major objective of PMKSY is to achieve end to end water use system and convergence of investments in irrigation at field level; expand cultivable area under assured irrigation, improve on-farm water use efficiency to reduce wastage of water; enhance the adoption of precision-irrigation and other water saving technologies.
The Committee deliberated on three important components of the PMKSY namely, Har Khet Ko Pani, Per Drop More Crop, and Watershed Development Component.
The Committee also reviewed the physical and financial achievements of PMKSY from the year 2016 till present.
The Committee after detailed deliberation approved the Arunachal Pradesh PMKSY Annual Action Plan 2022-23.
Secretary (WRD) Geyum Padu, Secretary (Agriculture) Bidol Tayeng, Secretary (RD) A. Talwade, Secretary (Horticulture)o Koj Rinyo and senior officers of WRD, Agriculture, Horticulture and others were present in the meeting.
