AALO, Mar 4: An awareness campaign on drug abuse was organised ahead of the International Women’s Day at Donyi-Polo Government College, Kamki in West Siang District by the NSS Unit and Women Cell of the college in collaboration with NGO Mother's Vision.
The programme was led by Teli Momu, Assistant Professor Cum District Nodal Officer, NSS, accompanied by Dr. Mumpy Panor, Coordinator, Women Cell, of the College. The programme was attended by Principal Dr. Gindu Borang among others.
During the programme, Director of Mothers Vision, Kenedy Bagra and its chairperson Jumde Gamlin addressed issues related to drugs and addiction. The latter while appealing the college authority to regularly conduct such campaigns, also emphasized on giving focus to sports and cultural activities within the campus so that students don't fall into the menace of drugs.
