ITANAGAR, Jan 18: Scholars Super-30- a free coaching programme initiated by CSAR Learning Solutions Private Limited, which aims at introducing the fundamentals of the IIT-JEE to the students of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Nagaland is inviting class X, XI and XII students from the state to avail free coaching at Tezpur, Assam.
Addressing a press conference at the Arunachal Press Club here on Monday, CSAR Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd subsidiary ‘Scholars India’ director Sanjay K Singh informed that they have got excellent responses from Assam and Nagaland and is looking forward to the same from Arunachal Pradesh.
He informed that as of now they have covered Seppa in East Kameng district and will cover Itanagar, and at least four to five other districts.
Singh also informed that the coaching will be held in a blended mode (online/offline) at a residential campus in Tezpur, and the duration of the course will be from 11 to 18 months.
Regarding selection of students, Singh informed that entrance examination for students from Arunachal Pradesh will be held in February or March. Registration for the selection process has already begun and interested candidates may avail more details by visiting www.scholarsindia.co.in, he added.
Stressing on the course being free, Singh, however, informed that the selected students will have to bear a nominal fee for hostel facilities. He informed that the coaching will be a full time programme and there is 50 percent reservation for ST and SC candidates.
Meanwhile, Singh clarified that the Scholars Super-30 initiative should not be confused with the much popularized Super-30 programme but the mentors will be among those who were involved in the Anand Kumar’s Super-30 programme.
Altogether, 90 best students from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland will be selected through entrance examination to join the Scholars Super-30 initiative. The coaching will be provided under the academic mentorship of Dr Y S Parmar, who has a PhD in Physics from IIT Kanpur and who himself has the credit of scoring an all India rank of 496 in IIT-JEE.
