ITANAGAR, Oct 9: A delegation of local representatives from Dollungmukh, Kamle met AK Singh, CMD, NHPC at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad on October 8.  Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects), NHPC was also present in the meeting. Vipin Gupta, Executive Director, Subansiri Lower Project joined the meeting through video conference.
During the meeting, the CMD highlighted desire of both Central as well as State governments of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam for completion of the flagship 2000 MW NHPC Subansiri Lower project. 
He assured safeguarding interests of the local people and said that all should work as one family towards completion of this prestigious project. 
The delegation shall be further visiting various NHPC power stations located in UTs of J&K and Ladakh, including  Nimmo Bazgo, Chutak, Uri-I, Uri-II & Kishanganga to get a first hand experience regarding working of hydropower stations. The delegation shall get an insight into the direct and indirect benefits & the overall development brought to the region by these power stations.
