ITANAGAR, Jul 5:

 

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has condoled the passing of Yapi Doni Kulo one of the pioneer activists of women’s right and a former member of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women on July 4.

 

Khandu said that Late Kulo will be forever remembered for her unprecedented role in the cooperative movement of Arunachal Pradesh with her Kadorna Welfare Centre, that empowered and cared for women in need. ‘She gave her heart and soul to the Center and worked for women upliftment till her last breath,’ he said.

 

In the letter addressed to daughter Lily Kulo, Khandu said ‘I know this would be the most trying times for the family members to cope with the irreparable loss, I hope my humble words of consolation would ease the grief even if a little. In this moment of grief, me, my family, colleagues in the Government and people of Arunachal Pradesh extend our solidarity with you and share the pain inflicted by one of the greatest truths of life.’

 

The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar fraternity has condoled the demise of former member Yapi Kulo. Her contribution towards the society is immeasurable and her death has created a great void in the society. The Commission considers itself fortunate to have associated with her, a release stated.
