ITANAGAR,  Jun 28: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) has taken Suo-Moto Cognizance of the case following a report published in a local daily regarding rape attempt on a 13-year minor step daughter.
Gumri Ringu, Chairperson, APSCPCR has directed the Chairperson Child Welfare Committee, Itanagar Capital Complex to immediately intervene to inquire about the case. Member, APSCPCR  Jumtum Minga, i/c POCSO had spoken with Maloti Tayeng, SI WPS, Itanagar case incharge of the said case wherein it was informed that they are trying their best to nab the culprit who is untraceable till date.
Chairperson Ringu has also spoke with SP Itanagar Capital Complex, Jimmy Chiram wherein it was informed that an FIR has been lodged, and the accused is untraceable as his mobile is switched off. 
The Commission condemned such heinous crime and has requested the police department to arrest the culprit at the earliest and book him under relevant sections of law.
