ITANAGAR, Oct 10: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) has expressed grief and anguish over the incident of drowning of three children in the culvert construction site of SKS Infra Projects Ltd. at Longo village of Tirap District on Saturday morning.
The Commission has taken suo moto cognizance of the case and contacted the Superintendent of Police, Tirap district seeking the status of the case and directed that a thorough and impartial investigation is conducted so that accountability of the incident leading to the loss of three precious lives is established and the culprit is punished as per law.
 It was informed that a case U/S 304A/34 IPC had been registered at Khonsa P/S in the instant case.
The Commission also requested the State Government to provide necessary compensation under the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011 as may be eligible to the bereaved family.
