ITANAGAR, Jun 14 : Almost 20 days has passed but accused Lukbi Bojir allegedly involved in the assault of a 8-year-old girl is yet to be arrested by police. As per reports, the pre-arrest bail filed by accused Bojir has been rejected by District and session court Bomdila today.
Speaking to this reporter, President, International Human Rights Organization (AP)Rimmo Lollen informed that the pre arrest bail filed by accused Lukbi Bojir in connection with child atrocities case of Seijosa Police Station case no 4/21 has been rejected by District and session court Bomdila today.
Expressing serious concern over the delay in the arrest of the accused, President IHRO (AP) said 'We strongly urge upon the concern police station to arrest the accused within a very short time.' The IHRO also requested the Education Department to suspend Bojir from his contractual service and make a detail inquiry in various schools where he was serving to find out if similar atrocities have been inflicted on students.
Now the pre-arrest bail has been rejected by the court, IHRO will file a separate case to confer justice to the victim and her family members. If needed we will seek assistance from our central body too for free legal support, added Lollen.
When contacted, Officer Incharge- Police Station Seijosa, Inspector P Payang informed that police are on high alert in all the suspected locations to arrest the accused who is evading arrest since the FIR was registered on May 26 last. However, the co-accused who happens to be his wife has already been arrested by police.
Accused Lukbi Bojir an elementary teacher, permanent resident of Tirbin town under Leparada district is still at large since May 26 last, after he allegedly assaulted the minor girl.
A case has been registered on May 26 last under 00/21 U/S 363/326/34ipc R/W SEC. 75 JJB ACT & 14 Bonded Labour Act against the said accused.
