Anini, Dec 2: State Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta, visited Anini, accompanied by Gopala Krishnan Chairman, SSB New Delhi -cum- Secretary incharge Compliance Burden in respect of state of Arunachal Pradesh, Pawan Kumar Sain, CEO -cum- Commissioner Health, and G. Angu, Joint Director, Industries. During the visit, the Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of ongoing central sponsored schemes and State-sponsored schemes in the district.
A PowerPoint presentation was presented by Bekir Nyorak, Deputy Commissioner, Dibang Valley District, highlighting the status of ongoing developmental activities under CSS and SS Schemes.
The Chief Secretary in his address emphasized the need for timely completion of works. He stressed on the importance of cleanliness, strengthening of waste management system and early operationalisation of Material Recovery Facility. He described Anini as one of the finest tourist destinations in the country , but cautioned against the negative impacts of over tourism, and advised for practice of sustainable tourism.

The review meeting was attended by SP, ADC, SDOs, administrative officers, HoDs, and GBs.
