Yingkiong, Oct 9: A District Development Review Meeting of Upper Siang District was held today at Sundaram Multipurpose Hall, BRTF, Yingkiong, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta.
He was accompanied by Anand Mohan, IPS, Director General of Police, Vivek Pandey, Divisional Commissioner (East), Sonam Chombay, Commissioner (Hydropower), Amjad Tak, Commissioner (Education), Shri A.K. Singh, Secretary (Land Management), among others.
At the outset, Talo Jerang, Deputy Commissioner, Upper Siang, delivered the welcome address and presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting district development activities and achievements for the period April to September 2025.
The Chief Secretary and his team reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental projects, schemes, and flagship programmes, while interacting with the Heads of Departments (HoDs). He emphasized the need for timely and effective implementation of all government schemes to ensure benefits reach the targeted beneficiaries.
HoDs also apprised the Chief Secretary of the status and challenges of various ongoing projects in the district. The meeting concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Vivek H.P., Mentor Secretary, Upper Siang District. DIPRO
