ITANAGAR, Jan 12: Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar today in a meeting with the officials of the Land Management department and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) at the CS Conference Hall of the Civil Secretariat took a status report of the pending land acquisition cases from the Deputy Commissioners of Anjaw, Lohit, Namsai, Yingkiong, Upper Subansiri, West Kameng and Tawang districts through videoconferencing.
Additional Director General, Border Roads (East) PKH Singh, Commissioner Land Management P.S. Lokhande, Chief Engineer Project ARUNANK Brig. A.S. Chonker, CCF V. Reddy and officers of the Land Management department participated in the meeting. The Chief Secretary took stock of the pending land acquisition and forest clearance cases under Project UDAYAK in Anjaw, Lohit and Namsai, Project VARTAK in West Kameng and Tawang, Project BRAHMANK in Shi-Yomi and Project ARUNANK of the BRO in Upper Subansiri district. While stating that 14 land acquisition cases have already been resolved during the recent months, the CS asked the DCs and BRO officials to expedite the pending land acquisition processes by working in close coordination with each other.
He also suggested proper aerial mapping of land by using drones while conducting the surveys. PRO CS
