Boleng, Oct 9: Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta, and the Director General of Police, Anand Mohan, along with various Commissioners and Secretaries of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, visited Boleng, Siang District to review the District Development Report and assess the progress of ongoing developmental initiatives in the district.
The visit commenced with a plantation drive at the Boleng Circuit House, where the Chief Secretary and DGP planted saplings as a gesture of promoting environmental sustainability. The dignitaries were warmly received by Tayi Taggu, Deputy Commissioner, Siang, who extended a cordial welcome to all the visiting dignitaries along with senior district officials and Heads of Departments.
A review meeting was subsequently chaired by the Chief Secretary and aIended by the DGP, Commissioners, Secretaries, and other Heads of Departments of Siang District. During the meeting, a PowerPoint presentation of the district was showcased, highlighting ongoing projects, infrastructure development, health and education initiatives, agriculture, rural development, and tourism. The Chief Secretary reviewed the District Development Report (DDR) in detail, providing guidance on effective implementation, monitoring, and coordination to accelerate development and enhance service delivery. The Chief Secretary also emphasized the need to make extensive use of the “Seva Aapke Dwar” platform to ensure that government services and welfare schemes reach every household, particularly in remote areas.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Jacob Tabing, Assistant Commissioner, Boleng, who expressed gratitude to the visiting dignitaries for their valuable guidance and continued support towards advancing the district’s development goals.
