ITANAGAR, Aug 14: Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2021 was announced today. This year no award is being given in the Individual Category. However two teams will be sharing the award in the Team/ Organization Category.
The Award constitutes a medal, a scroll and award money of Rs 1 lakhs in case of an individual and Rs 5 lakhs in case of an Organization/Team Category.
Dr. Kinny Singh, DC, East Siang & Team has been bestowed the award for enhancement   of enrollment in Government Schools by improving infrastructure through crowd funding etc.
The team under DC East Siang and Deputy Director School Education achieved record enrolment and quality education in Government schools by improving infrastructure in about 80 schools with crowd-funding/ voluntary contributions/ mission mode implementation of Government schemes. Locals helped in facelift of 11 such schools, which brought a sense of ownership in the community.  Enrolment increased by about 50 percent in two years in the schools covered under crowd-funding. Prominent individuals, ex-students, and Government servants were roped in as Friends and Motivators in the “Pay back to Society Mission.”
J. Yirang, DDSE, East Siang, Prof David Gao, RGU, B. Dutta, Principal DIET Pasighat, Tajom Padung, Principal, Govt HSS, Ruksin, Tagong Sitang, Principal, Govt HSS, Sille, Tagin Tatan, Principal Govt HSS, Bilat  and 11 others are among the team members.
Er. Tomo Basar, CE PHED, (WZ) & Team under Secretary PHE with team members  Er. Tomo Basar, CE, PHED,(WZ) , Er. Oyuk Padung, SE, Er. Hage Mobing, EE, Er. Tajing Darang, AE and Er. Bajong Pertin, JE were awarded for the Multi-Village Integrated Drinking water project for Jia Bolung - Bukkong area.
The project commissioned on 6th November 2020, is a solar based lift water supply project for 39 census villages designed to provide drinking water to 17,480 people. 
The project has been conceived as an integrated project with an element of drinking water, green energy and tourism component in it. The project is first of its kind in the state using green energy-solar grid, SCADA automation system, pre-fabricated zinc alum storage tank and HDPE conduit for mains, sub-mains and distribution networking system and also amusement park including swimming pool, amphi-theatre, fountains, sit-outs etc.
The project envisages promotion of tourism in the area which will enhance the living standard of the people and thus help in boosting rural economy. In order to ensure sustainability of the water project park, local villagers agreed for sharing of responsibility in management of the assets in the park.
