The NSS Unit of College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat has bagged the best National Service Scheme (NSS) award. The award was conferred during the XVII Conference of Higher and Technical Education held at Banquet hall, Itanagar on Tuesday.

 

According to Dr VN Sharma, State Liaison Officer of NSS, Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, there are a total of 86 NSS units functioning in various educational institutes across the state at present out of which CHF, Pasighat was awarded the best NSS Unit of the state for the academic session 2015-16 on the basis of valued services rendered.

 

Krishna Singh Tomar, NSS Programme Officer of CHF Pasighat received the citation, shawl and memento from VC RGU Prof. Tamo Mibang. Speaking to this reporter, Tomar dedicated the award to all the NSS volunteers who worked hard and tirelessly during the session 2015-16. While thanking the directorate, he said the recognition will motivate them to work more for the betterment of society.
