Changlang, Jul 22: In an effort to comfort commuters, pedestrians and stray animals, District Administration Changlang under the initiative of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav conducted avenue plantation drive along Margherita-Changlang road with the motto 'Each One Plant One'.
The drive kicked off today with the first sapling planted by the DC followed by Mihin Gambo, SP Changlang and others.
In total 54 saplings with fencing were planted today in the first phase and rest 146 will be planted in the next two days.
The Executive Engineer PWD, Pulang Nemu, assured that the department will adopt and look after the saplings for next three years.
The plantation is expected to beautify the stretch and provide shade and relief to animals etc and help in combating heat. Dipro
