NAHARLAGUN, Dec 9: A 3-day training programme on ‘Office Rules & Procedures’ sponsored by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), GoI commenced today here at the Administrative Training Institute(ATI).
Altogether 17 Group B & C ministerial officials from vthe State Secretariat and other heads offices under Capital Complex are attending the training, course fees of which are fully sponsored by the DoPT. While explaining the importance of the Manual of Office Procedures which serves as a guidebook for departmental procedures, ATI Director Pate Marik underscored the necessity of remaining aware of the ever-changing governmental rules and regulations by the ministerial employees.
Good governance and transparency in a state depends on experience and skill of its employees and wrong application of rules and procedures have a great bearing on citizens which leads to litigations, wastage of time and funds, he added.
