PASIGHAT, Nov 24: The 2-day ‘Disability Rehabilitation Orientation Training’ conducted by the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID), Secunderabad in collaboration with the East Siang District Administration concluded today here at the CHF auditorium.
Nurses, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, CDPOs, supervisors and SSA teachers participated as trainees. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh and DDSE Jongge Yirang were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The DC while elaborating on the role played by NEIPID in introducing innovative and structured training courses for rendering services to the disabled at grassroots level, instructed the Health and WCD departments to expedite early certification so that government-sponsored benefits can reach the intended beneficiaries.
