Ziro, Nov 30:  Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries etc. Er. Tage Taki has expressed gratitude to the Union Minister of AH&V and Fishery Giriraj Singh for accepting his request to send expert Central officers for reviewing fishery development activities in Arunachal Pradesh.
Sharing the information, Taki said he apprised the Union Minister and submitted him a few projects amounting to Rs.199 crore for development of fisheries in the state during a meeting in first week of October.
“He was very positive and assured to render maximum Central help to the state,” he informed, adding that after the discussion, Adviser to the Union Minister, AH&V and Fishery and an expert in the field of cold-water fishery development, R Pandita visited Arunachal Pradesh from November 27-30 to assess the state’s current fishery scenario. As a part of the 4-day tour, Pandita visited the fishery projects sites at Yachuli, Siikhe Lake, Taring, Pange river and those around the Capital Complex and interacted with the officials of the State Fishery Department.
Acknowledging the conducive environment for cold-water fishery development in Arunachal Pradesh, the expert assured to assist the state in revitalizing its fishery sector. DIPRO
