ITANAGAR, Nov 29: The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) has arrested two more persons in connection with the 'Cash for Job' scam involving the state's highest recruiting body, the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Service (APPSC). This was informed by the Superintendent of Police (SIC) Anant Mittal on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media, the SP informed that as of now 22 people have been arrested by the SIC as per the interrogation and substantial evidence related to the cash for job scam in APPSC. On November 27 & 28 last, we have arrested two more people, an Assistant Engineer (AE) PWD, Liromoba - Yiter Raksap selected through  APPSC in 2019 and an Junior Engineer (JE) PHE&WS, Pangin, Mopin Sora.
When asked about the grounds of arrest of both the officials, Mittal disclosed that during the interrogation the duo's involvement in the paper leakage or cash for job has been established. SIC is doing its part fairly and more arrests are expected in days to come, added the SP.
Mittal also disclosed that SIC is investigating the cash for Job scam in APPSC since 2014 for every examination, whereas CBI is only investigating the AE(Civil) Paper leakage scam.
"However, the state government has already recommended the CBI to probe the other examinations conducted by the APPSC. All complaints related to various other exams conducted by the APPSC from 2014 onwards have been amalgamated with the instant case for detailed investigation," he added.
When asked about any link or interrogation of former Chairman APPSC, Nipo Nabam, the  SP(SIC) stated that they have already interrogated  him(Nabam) and he will be further interrogated if needed.  
Earlier on November 18 last, SIC also arrested one  Ashiram Mibang  (59) from  Boleng, related to the same case.
The SIC investigation into the paper leak matter is ongoing, and all facets of the case are being investigated in detail. All legal formalities and norms of professionalism are being maintained during the investigation. SIC is committed to ensuring justice for the aggrieved aspirants, added the SP.
