ITANAGAR, Jul 8: Capital Police cracked series of burglary cases and arrested seven persons in connection with the six cases.
The reports of burglary cases in the Capital Region were lodged at Itanagar Police Station after series of complaints from capital denizens for few months now. Accordingly, the police registered the cases on the basis of written FIRs from various complainants against unknown miscreants.
Due to the increasing number of burglaries, a special team was created which comprised of SI K.Tacha, Ct. Hugnya Basar, Ct. Marge Lona and L/Ct. Sopak Gamlin under the supervision of SP Capital Jimmy Chiram,  and SDPO K. Sikom.
On July 4 last,  police team arrested, Gichik Paul @ Ramu and Lokar Tado  red-handed while they were selling one stolen LED TV along with its remote, from Gohpur, Itanagar. The stolen items have been recovered and a case vide ITA/PS/Case No. 291/2021 u/s 380/34 IPC has been registered against them.
During interrogation, the duo  revealed that they had stolen two LPG cylinders from KV2, Gohpur and one each from 6 Kilo, Chimpu and Ganga village with the help of one more co-accused namely Thomas Bamang, constable 1st IRBN (under suspension).
The recoveries of the five numbers of LPG cylinders have been made from various locations after the disclosure by the duo. However, after sustained interrogation, they revealed more names which include one Goigi Taju and others.
The Capital police acted swiftly and apprehended the alleged accused Goigi Taju from Lorr village near Itanagar Zoo area. Taju confessed of lifting many two wheelers from the Capital Complex region. On his lead, two Scooty have been recovered from Lorr village and Kanebong under Balijan Circle. Also, 1 Yamaha F15 bike was recovered from the Itanagar Zoo area. 
After further investigation by the police, it was found that Gichik Paul @ Ramu and Lokar Tado are habitual offenders. They have been booked under ITA PS Case no. 289/21 under section 380/34 IPC at Itanagar Police Station.
The team led by SDPO K.Sikom, Insp P.Simi and SI K Tacha has also arrested another duo of thieves identified as Ngurang Tako and Risso Nidam and has booked them in case no. 159/21 under section 392/34 IPC at Ita PS.
Meanwhile, one more alleged accused namely Yomyi Gamlin has been arrested in C/W  ITA/PS/Case 181/21 u/s 379 IPC .
