ITANAGAR, Jun 27:  Based on the disclosure made during the interrogation of accused Tadar Kampung,the capital police busted another secret godown and seized 195.67 kg of marijuana (ganja).
Tadar Kampung was arrested after capital police seized 525.97kg Ganja from a hidden store inside her residence at Kankarnallah in Naharlagun recently along with a .32 handgun, about 50000 cash and a Toyota fortuner suspected to be brought from proceeds from ganja sales.
Following the revelation made by the accused, the police team led by SDPO-Naharlgun D. Gumja along with Executive Magistrate Lakshmi Dodum reached the kutcha house of one Nabam Paul in Lekhi village near the Dikrong river bank. During the search, 12 sacks containing suspected ganja weighing 195.67 kg were recovered and a person was arrested in connection with the case. Police said the seized ganja was transported to the ICR from Mengio, Papum Pare.
With this seizure, the total quantity of ganja has reached 721 kg with an estimated market value of Rs 72 lakh.
