No corona cases in Arunachal so far

ITANAGAR, Mar 29: Capital Deputy Commissioner Komkar Dulom on Sunday while speaking on the overall picture of the lockdown in state capital has assured the denizens not to worry about the supply of essential commodities and informed that there is sufficient stock including pharmaceutical needs.
While giving the figures regarding those under quarantine in the capital, DC said that a total of 841 people are currently under home quarantine of which 7 are suspected cases, 5 have tested negative and 2 are awaiting test results. Dulom said that all individuals under home quarantine are being regularly monitored by the Flying Squads along with necessary counselling on a regular basis. Since the lockout came into force, movements of 168 people were recorded by the District Administration so far, mostly consisting of suppliers of essential commodities from outside, he informed. "The lockdown is going on with the full force and the movement of outsiders is being monitored strictly,” he said, adding that to deal with any critical situation four public  facilities namely Bharat Scouts & Guides centre and three Hotel namely Achi-Ama, Nemco, and Donyi Polo are being converted into quarantine centres temporarily."We currently have a total of 86 rooms and 14 of these at Hotel Achi Ama will be used to accommodate the staff, attendants and doctors," he said."There are a total of 124 fair price shops spread around the Capital Complex that will deliver essential commodities and three online home delivery of food & other essentials apps are also put into service," he pointed out.  "People may occasionally experience a shortage of LPG but they need not fear as the stocks will be replenished again the next day," he assured.

Earlier on the same day, DC also held a review meeting with the petrol depot owners, LPG distributors etc to get a first-hand information on the stock of essential commodities. He said all arrangements are in place to combat the coronavirus and asked people to cooperate.
Meanwhile, the daily State Covid-19 Bulletin has said that as on Sunday, Arunachal Pradesh continues to remain free from corona cases.
The state advisory for the students returning from other states to Arunachal Pradesh remains in force. All such students have been advised to practice social distancing by home quarantine for a period of 14 days and in case of manifestation of symptoms like fever, cough and breathing difficulties, they must immediately contact the 24x7 Control Room-104  or the nearest health centre. For those currently observing home quarantine, the dos and don’ts are to be followed strictly. The total number of people screened at entry points of the state cumulatively stood at 1524.
