PASIGHAT, Dec 8: Deputy Commissioner cum District Municipal Election Officer Dr. Kinny Singh and General Observer, Pasighat Municipal Election, Santosh Kr. Rai held detailed discussions with the contesting candidates of the political parties about the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and urged all to follow the rules strictly for smooth conduct the ensuing municipal election at Pasighat, in coordination meeting held today in the office conference hall.
The meeting was attended by the Municipal Election Returning Officer Oli Perme (SDO), Assistant Municipal Election Returning Officer Dr. M. Kakki (EAC) and contesting candidates of political parties. While interacting with the attending members, General Observer Rai asked the candidates to seek prior permission from the designated officer for conducting any election-related issue and briefed them about the instructions/guidelines issued by the State Election Commission (SEC) for the conduct of upcoming Municipal Election in a fair manner.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh informed the house that officers and officials have been assigned duties in a time-bound manner to ensure adequate preparation for smooth conduct of the election. She while laying stress on adherence of MCC affirmed that no violation of MCC would be allowed at any stage of election process and sought co-operation from the political parties to uphold the glorious tradition of peaceful polls in the district by participating in a transparent and non-violent manner.
