NEW DELHI, Jun 29:Bye-elections to fill casual vacancies in the State Legislative Assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland will be held on July 29. The poll panel today said at present Pakke Kessang (ST) Assembly Constituency from Arunachal Pradesh and Northern Angami-I (ST) AC from Nagaland are vacant.

After taking into consideration various factors like local festivals, electoral rolls, weather conditions, the Commission has decided to hold by-elections to fill these vacancies, the Commission said in a statement. The issue of notification will be on July 5, last date of making nominations is onJuly 12, scrutiny of nominations is on July 13, last date for withdrawal of candidatures is on July 15. Counting of votes will take place on August 3.
