AALO, Jan 2: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been developing critical road network and infrastructure in the Northern and North Eastern Border areas of the country for strengthening India’s defence capabilities as well as conncting far-flung villages to improve their socio-economic status, said a BRO press release issued here today.
In this process, 92 RCC under 44 BRTF Project Brahmank (BRO) has been working on up-gradation of 45 kms long Road Aalo-Kaying from existing single lane to double lane width in West Siang district since 2013. In spite of various climatic challenges throughout the year, about 38 km road stretch is fully developed to National Highway double lane width and remaining stretch of 7 km is planned to be developed by the middle of this year .
This would undoubtedly help in improving the road connectivity in these remote and far flung regions, a boom for opening new horizons of progress, prosperity and socio-economic development of large population of these underdeveloped regions. Additionally, travelling time will also be reduced from two and half hours earlier to one and half hour.
