ITANAGAR, Jul 16: Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar on Thursday conducted a virtual meeting with the DG, Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Lt Gen Harpal Singh via video link to discuss the way forward for bringing faster pace of progress in the road projects currently being executed by the BRO in Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting comes after the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the statuses of various infrastructure projects currently implemented by the BRO on July 7 last at the national capital. All the four BRO Project Chief Engineers of Arunachal Pradesh along with the concerned officials from both sides attended the meeting. Issues such as land acquisition, forest clearance, allocation of quarries, joint surveys, etc. were discussed and project-wise timelines were fixed for speedy execution of the ongoing road projects in the state. Chief Secretary assured the BRO DG that all the concerned departments of GoAP will extend full cooperation so that the deadlines are met.
As per official sources, the meeting has been productive and with the fixing of timelines for the ongoing projects in the state, the stage is now set for the BRO to complete the works within schedules. DIPRO
