ITANAGAR, Mar 15: The British Council, Kolkata in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education, GoAP today launched a Communicative English course at the Conference Hall of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC).
The inaugural programme was attended by OSD Establishment, DHTE Joram Muthu, Principal Dr M.Q Khan, HoDs, faculty members and students. 50 students have been selected to participate in the 12-day long course which aims at improving English language proficiency. The course will be imparted  in two phases wherein the first phase will mainly focus on elements of grammar and enhancing writing skill. It will be followed by the second phase which will focus on improving the English speaking skill of students.
The Resource persons along with the Principal and OSD distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of an essay competition on “75 Years of Independence: Prospect and Challenges” conducted on  March 12 to mark the beginning of the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
