PASIGHAT, Aug 22: World renowned Indian amateur boxer MC Mary Kom on Saturday delivered a motivational lecture to the Risers of Sainik School Niglok through an online platform.
With enthralling talks, the boxing icon encouraged the Risers with the advice to inculcate a never-give-up attitude, confidence, dedication and hard work to surpass the challenges of life. She narrated how she encountered and overcame the demotivating negative comments from a few persons of her society and the journey from a simple girl to a champion and suggested the Risers to balance studies and games at the same time. Principal Lt Col Rajesh Singh extended gratitude to Mary Kom for taking time for the students.
On special request from the Principal, the ace boxer has agreed to send a pair of boxing gloves carrying her signature and an entire boxing training kit as a token of remembrance and association with the school.
