PASIGHAT Mar 30: Expressing happiness over sanctioning of a new road from Komsing to Sissen village under Siang District (previously under East Siang dist) by the central and state government, the Nogong Banggo Kebang (NBK) has appealed the concern agency RWD to allot the road construction project to capable firm having good record, well equipped machineries and financially sound so that work is completed on time.

In a press statement today, Tapun Taki, President, NBK said that, entire people under Nugong Banggo are very happy over the news as the road has been their long pending demand since 69 years.

“We have been longing for a proper road connection in our region from long time, but we have been neglected by the government for many decades due to which Sissen Welfare Society (SWS) had boycotted the last Parliamentary and Assembly election as a mark of protest” added Taki. “We are very much thankful to the then DC, Pasighat, Isha Khosla for taking the pain and initiative for the much desired road by visiting the area. We also give the credit of sanctioning of the road to Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, MoS Home, Kiren Rijiju, MP Lok Sabha, Ninong Ering, MLA Tapang Taloh, ZPM Nugong Banggo, Tajing Taki and SE, RWD, Er. Nyai Regia all of whom have truly contributed much from their respective capacity to materialize the fund sanctioning” quoted Taki.

It is worth mentioning here that, the people of this Nugong Banggo have been living under much hardship, without road and other basic needs since long. It is beyond imagination to carry the heavy load on head through a narrow foot track in this age of computer and technology. But by sanctioning a road about 40 KM starting from Komsing to Sissen village by the central government has finally brought a ray of hope among the people of Nugong Banggo.

Now it is believed as appealed by the NBK that, the sanctioned amount of around 39 crores will be used judiciously by allotting the work only to a capable and responsible firm which can complete the work on time while maintaining quality as the project is under tender process now.
